Women Against Stone Walls
Walking through the First Arrondissement of Paris, I became aware of the expressive power of the rough surfaces of the stone walls. They offered an essential, tactile backdrop, capable of embracing the light and gently reflecting it.
All that remained was to juxtapose a figure, allowing the human presence to enter into a dialogue with the materiality of the stone.
En me promenant dans le Premier Arrondissement de Paris, j’ai pris conscience de la force expressive des surfaces rugueuses des murs de pierre. Elles offraient un fond matériel essentiel, capable d’accueillir la lumière et de la restituer avec délicatesse.
Il ne restait plus qu’à y juxtaposer une figure, laissant la présence humaine entrer en dialogue avec la matière de la pierre.
Passeggiando per il Primo Arrondissement di Parigi, mi resi conto della forza espressiva delle superfici rugose dei muri di pietra. Esse offrivano uno sfondo materico essenziale, capace di accogliere la luce e restituirla con delicatezza.
Non restava che giustapporre una figura, lasciando che la presenza umana entrasse in dialogo con la materia della pietra.
